July 13: Todd Golub on the Changing Face of Innovation at Broad Institute

Todd Golub is director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and a founding core member and director of the Gerstner Center for Cancer Diagnostics. He is a member of the faculty of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School and a world leader in creating and applying tools of genomics to understand the basis of cancer. Full Bio

July 8: Catherine Klapperich and Peter H. Reinhart on Lessons from COVID-19 Testing

Catherine Klapperich is Director of the NIBIB POCTRN Center for Future Technologies in Cancer Care (CFTCC) at Boston University, and Director of the Laboratory for Diagnostics and Global Healthcare Technologies. Her research focuses on engineering medical devices for use in low-resource settings and at the point of care. Jeffrey Karp is Brigham and Women’s Hospital Distinguished Chair in Clinical Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, and Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He works in the fields of drug delivery, medical devices, stem cell therapeutics, and tissue adhesives; and is additionally on the faculty at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, the Broad Institute, and at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. May 25: Kim Lewis on Solutions for Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria

Kim Lewis is University Distinguished Professor of Biology at Northeastern University, and a leader in antibiotic discovery. He is renowned for discovering compounds that kill persister cells responsible for chronic infections, an antibiotic with no detectable resistance, and a novel class of antibiotics acting against problematic Gram-negative pathogens. May 11: Nabiha Saklayen on the Lab to Market Journey
